Murals on the theme of 'Autonomous Driving' at the BMW Campus in Munich.
We developed a comprehensive concept for the Autonomous Driving Campus for 10 artistic wall designs at key locations in the building. The building complex is divided into five sections with color codes, each represents one of the five continents. The respective color extends across carpeting, furniture upholstery, wall elements and our artwork.
Using a combination of different acrylic paints and finishing with black permanent adhesive tape, we created motifs with a futuristic, urban atmosphere that artistically address the global upheaval in the automotive industry towards autonomous driving. We developed the abstract urban depictions on the basis of existing buildings on the respective continents, which catch the eye with their special future-oriented architecture. They are embedded in characteristic landscape features. Lines of movement run through the motifs as a visualization of automated driving.
BMW has created a start-up atmosphere on a large scale in the campus - despite the size of around 30,000 square meters of office space, test benches and measurement technology - in which our artworks inspire and support the adaptive, flexible and learning working environment of BMW software developers.
